We didn’t start in construction.

Neither of us came from the insurance world or the supplementing lane.

We came into this industry from very different backgrounds, but with the same reality: we needed a path forward, fast.

 Sarah rebuilt her life as a Marine veteran, single mother, and industry expert, turning adversity, reinvention, and relentless work ethic into fuel rather than limitation. From training contractors to mastering insurance supplements and launching a company that reflects her values, she learned to extract strategy from experience and meaning from challenge. Today, she channels that journey into empowering contractors, elevating fairness in the industry, and showing her daughter, and others, what rebuilding with purpose really looks like. 

 Samantha rose from single motherhood with a work ethic forged in the Hoosier state, learning early that grit is earned, not given. From CNA care to crime scene cleanup, asbestos work, roofing, and water restoration with ServPro, she built her career by stepping into the messes others avoided and turning chaos into order. Today, she channels that journey into entrepreneurship, transforming experience, resilience, and service into solutions that protect contractors, restore homes, and elevate the industry. 

We were facing the same questions:

Where do I start? How do I build stability? How do I create opportunity when I don’t yet know the rules?

So we entered a world we knew nothing about:
insurance claims, estimates, construction language, carrier negotiation, and we learned it the hard way: nights, weekends, trial and error, overwhelm, and the pressure of “if we don’t figure this out, life doesn’t work.”

Over time something changed. Confusion turned into understanding. Understanding turned into competence. Competence turned into skill. Skill turned into influence.

We realized two things:

1. This industry is brutally unforgiving to people who don’t know how to advocate for themselves.
    
2. Contractors everywhere were losing the same money we desperately needed when we started.
    

That became our mission.

We don’t exist just to supplement estimates, we exist because we know what it means to rebuild from nothing, to be underestimated, to be told “you don’t know enough,” and to prove that wrong.

Magna was built on grit, late nights, systems learned through failure, conversations fought through, and a deep belief that people deserve to be paid for their work they actually do. 

We care about helping contractors because we’ve been on the other side of uncertainty, and that’s why we don’t take this lightly.

This isn’t just business for us.

It’s a way to help others win faster than we had to, without the sleepless nights, guesswork, or feeling alone in the process.
